The 2022 Illinois Solar Tour
Saturday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The City of Carbondale has partnered with the Illinois Solar Education Association (ISEA) to arrange host sites for the Tour which is this Saturday from it begins at the Carbondale civic center to learn about solar and then visit locations which benefit from solar energy.
The second annual Carterville Art Stroll

Find original arts and crafts from over 25 artists as well as live music and food. The event is hosted by Suzann Starchild Shepard and the City of Carterville and will showcase multi-agency fundraisers including Strong Survivors. Drug takeback and confidential document shredding event

To participate in the event residents MUST: • Register online at RecycleJacksonCounty.org or call 618-684-3143 ext. 128 to schedule an appointment drop-off time. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will be on-site to provide safe and secure disposal of medications. Participants will be able to drop-off prescription and over-the-counter medications (pills, creams, and patches) for disposal.
