The Sigma Alpha Iota fraternity at SIU Carbondale is organizing an instrument drive to collect, not only instruments, but music supplies. The collection will run through May 5th.
Later in the Fall all donated items will then be distributed -- at no charge -- to local schools.
On this edition of WSIU InFocus, we visit with the current Service Chair for the fraternity, Emma Lasley and the PR and marketing chair for the fraternity, Ellie Sullivan.
Both Ellie and Emma are music majors at SIU Carbondale.
Donations will be accepted on April 2nd at the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra's Stars of Altgeld Performance.
