Two Traffic Stops Lead to Drug Busts

Drugs confiscated during two traffic stops in Johnson County.

Two traffic stops in Johnson County led to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of 67 pounds of cannabis, 100 grams of cannabis wax and 9.5 pounds of cannabis edibles.
Illinois State Police say the first traffic stop occurred on June 13th on Interstate 24 for a Scotts Law violation. The driver Tanner Ausherman and passenger Derek Szabados, both of California, were arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver.

The second traffic stop occurred on June 18th when a trooper stopped a passenger vehicle on Interstate 24 for a traffic violation. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Robert Noble of North Carolina, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver.
