A traffic stop in Johnson County Sunday resulted in the seizure of nearly two pounds of Oxycodone pills.
Illinois State Police say the car was initially pulled over for a Scott's Law violation - failing to move over or slow down when an emergency vehicle is on the side of the road. During the stop, the Trooper reported indicators of criminal activity - the suspect didn't have a valid driver's license and there was an open alcohol container in the car.
After a more thorough search, the Trooper found 814 grams of Oxycodone - pills that are suspected to be laced with Fentanyl, as well.
The suspect, Manuel Bracamonte of San Diego, California, was arrested and is being held in the Saline County Jail. He faces charges including manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, driving without a valid license, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
