Covid-19 continues to rise in Illinois, especially in Region One.  Illinois Governor JB Prtizker says the Northwest part of the state will have to see even tighter restrictions soon.

"Region 1 has continued to see a resurging positivity rate of 11.9 percent as of this morning."

That means starting this Sunday, restrictions will be tightened, including.

"Such as tighter gathering caps of ten individuals, instead of 25. And new restaurant and bar table caps of six, instead of 10 when eating out."

Southern Illinois, Region five, stood at a 9.1 percent this morning, when tighter restrictions took effect.
