SIU's President says candidates for Carbondale campus Chancellor could be on campus soon.
Updating the school's trustees earlier this month, President Randy Dunn says the next stage of the search is moving forward.
"The Search Advisory Committee will be bringing in for first-round interviews via Skype a group of seven semi-finalists. That'll be starting at the end of this month - a fairly small group that they've chosen to move forward with."
Dunn says they'll narrow the group of seven to two or three who will visit campus.
Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell has been serving as SIUC's leader since October of 2015. Leaders hope to have a permanent Chancellor in place by summer.
