The inaugural SIU Day brought in several hundred students from 22 high schools around the southern Illinois region.
Throughout the day Wednesday staff, students, and faculty discussed and demonstrated many of the opportunities available at SIU.
SIU-C's enrollment has been dropping for years. This fall's 12-percent decline puts the total number of students at 12,817.
