SIU Chancellor Candidates Announced

Southern Illinois University has released the names of the three finalists for Chancellor of the Carbondale campus.

The candidates are Susan Stapleton, a professor of Chemistry and special assistant to the provost at Western Michigan University; Austin Lane, the former president of Texas Southern University; and Kenneth Evans, president of Lamar University.

Virtual public forums with the candidates will begin on April 17th with Susan Stapleton; April 21st with Austin Lane; and April 23rd with Kenneth Evans. Each forum will be held on Zoom. Details for accessing the forums are available online at chancellor.siu.edu/search

The new chancellor will replace John Dunn, who has served as interim chancellor since January of 2019.
