Benton republican Dave Severin says he'll seek a 3rd term representing the 117th District in the Illinois House.
Severin was first elected to the State House in November 2016. The small business owner believes he has earned a 3rd term in the House because his legislative record reflects the priorities and values of the people of the 117th district. That includes voting no on the graduated income tax hike proposal and no on legalizing recreational marijuana.
Nominating petitions will begin circulating shortly after Labor Day for the 2020 Primary Election. The winner of the March 2020 Primary Election will go on to run in the November 2020 General Election.
