Police Don't Believe Two Carbondale Shootings Are Connected

Images

Carbondale Police say they don't suspect two shootings over the weekend are related.

The incidents sent two victims to St. Louis Hospitals, and happened hours apart... but investigators say there is no evidence the two are connected.
The first shooting happened around 9:30 Friday night in the 400 block of East Chestnut Street. Police say they met with the victim, who had possibly life-threatening injuries.

The second shooting happened just after midnight Friday night, also on East Chestnut Street, near North Robert A Stalls Avenue. There investigators say they also met with a victim, who was also facing life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information in either case. Anyone with information is asked to call Carbondale Police at 457-3200 or their anonymous tip line at 549-COPS.
