Murphysboro Takes Steps To Help Local Businesses Hurt By COVID-19

The City of Murphysboro has extended the due date for all licenses issued by the city to June 30th, 2020.

The affected licenses and permits include:

- Slow Moving Vehicle permits
- Liquor Licenses
- Banking Licenses
- Cigarette Licenses
- Gaming Licenses
- Gas Station / Fuel Pump Licenses
- Pool Table and Amusement Licenses
- Taxi Cab Licenses
- Mobile Home Park Licenses

Mayor Will Stephens is also encouraging local businesses to apply for help through the Downstate Small Business Stabilization Program.
