More Storm Sirens for Harrisburg

Storm damage in Harrisburg from Wednesday
Storm damage in Harrisburg from Wednesday

Storm sirens sounded again today (Fri) in Harrisburg just two days after a deadly tornado ripped through the area killing six people. At least three funnel clouds were spotted north of Harrisburg as thunderstorms and heavy rain swept through the region.   The sirens began wailing shortly after noon.  At the city's ponderosa steakhouse, the latest warning had Sheri Barnett, her two daughters, a stepdaughter and her mother joining a couple dozen other lunchtime patrons seeking shelter in a narrow, concrete-enclosed portion of the restaurant. When the sirens soon stopped, Barnett and her relatives went outside, only to hear the sirens sound again.

Funerals for the victims of Wednesday's tornado will be held this weekend.
