A Franklin County man saw his boat and his truck roll into Crab Orchard Lake Monday morning.
Illinois State Police say 51-year-old Bill Pickering of Christopher was placing his boat in the water at the Crab Orchard Lake Boat Launch just before 6:30 a.m.
Troopers say Pickering told them he forgot to place his truck in park. So, after he exited the vehicle, the truck rolled backward into the water and ran over him. He received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
The vehicle was removed from the water and towed away.
