Land of Lincoln Americorps to Host Veterans Lunch

Americorps students on the Southern Illinois University campus will honor veterans on Martin Luther King, Jr Day.

Monday, SIUC's Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism and the Carbondale Boys & Girls Club will host the lunch.  The Americorps members will prepare and serve lunch to area veterans and veterans who are students on the SIU campus.  Organizers say the lunch is a way of saying "thank you" to veterans for all they have done and continue to do by their service to country.

The luncheon runs Monday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Carbondale Boys & Girls Club.
