Images

A Johnson County woman is headed to prison for using stolen checks.

The Union County State's Attorney's office says 29-year-old Whitney Patton, also known as Whitney Martin, of Vienna has been sentenced to six years in prison.
She pleaded guilty to one count of Continuing Financial Crimes Enterprise, a Class 1 Felony.

Anna Police arrested Patton in October 2018 following an investigation. She took personal checks from a vehicle parked in Anna in August 2018 and used checks at various southern Illinois businesses.
