In a special Morning Conversation, Illinois Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon discusses gains, losses and challenges that remain after the 2012 Spring Legislative Session.
The session was marked by Medicaid reforms, drastic budget cuts and the looming crisis surrounding the pension system. But along with that, there were advances made in education and other areas, which Simon says are important in moving the state forward academically.
WSIU Radio's Jennifer Fuller talked with Simon about what's happening, and what she expects in the future.
