With the fall surge of COVID-19 rising to a record case count for the second straight day in Illinois, Governor JB Pritzker says cooperating with contact tracers is vital in slowing the virus.
"Just like wearing a mask, answering a contact tracer's call is a way to help keep your family safe, and that's going to be even more important with community transmission as high as it is right now."
The Governor says calls from contact tracers will show a caller id of "ILLINOIS COVID HELP". Currently there are 33-hundred contact tracers in the state. The Governor wants to add more through hiring some for pay and seeking volunteer tracers.
