All high school coaches would have to take an online course on concussions under a bill passed by the Illinois House Tuesday.
The bill requires the training for all athletic directors, high school coaches and assistant coaches regarding concussion prevention and detection.
It's supported by Representative John D'Amico of Chicago...who says it will apply to coaches of all sports.
The course would be free and the online certification would be required every two years. The bill now moves to the Senate for a vote.
The legislation is HB-5431.
