Traffic is getting back to normal after a portion of Interstate 57 in Williamson County was shut down last night.
Emergency crews were called out to an accident involving a semi-truck that wrecked just north of the Johnston City exit, spilling what responders classified as a "corrosive disinfectant" on the road.
The highway was closed from Johnston City to West Frankfort in both directions while crews cleaned up the mess. No evacuations were ordered, and investigators are still looking into what caused the crash.
