Groups of Illinoisans are starting to protest Governor J-B Pritzker's ongoing stay at home order as they stress the need to re-open businesses to get the economy re-started.
During Monday's COVID-19 briefing, Pritzker said he is looking at a re-opening the state on a regional basis, since rural parts of the state are reporting fewer cases than urban areas.
"The important thing is that we want to keep people safe and also give them the ability to do as much as possible without spreading the virus. So, those are the complications. None of this is done on a whim. All of this is done listening to the people who understand the virus and know how it gets transmitted."
Pritzker said he will update his stay at home order as soon as possible. It's currently in place until April 30.
