A Williamson County bar and grill has suddenly closed.
The Frenchman's Widow in Herrin shut its doors on Wednesday so preparations could begin to sell or lease the property. The establishment opened in May 2013.
In a written release, owner Cynde Bunch said the decision was made so she and her husband David could focus their efforts on another one of their properties, Walker's Bluff.
The Bunch's are currently waiting for Illinois lawmakers to approve legislation that would allow them to move forward with a 175-million dollar resort project at the Carterville vineyard and upscale dining destination.
Bunch says she plans to offer employees at the Frenchman's Widow positions at Walker's Bluff.
