Eight Mt. Vernon Residents Arrested in Drug Sweep

On December 19, 2018 the Mt. Vernon Police Department / Jefferson County Sheriff's Office High Risk Team conducted a warrant sweep.

Jefferson County drug enforcement officers arrested 8–Mt Vernon residents Wednesday as part of warrant sweep.

The arrests were for various drug related charges.  Mt. Vernon Police say they are seeking seven other suspects and expect to make additional arrests.
Those arrested Wednesday on drug–related charges include:

30–year old Tashia McClain; 52 year old Thomas Mauer; 52–year old Howard Rudd; 28–year old Jocelyn Roberts; 51–year old Nicola Jenkins; 63–year old Luan Crable; 34–year old Joshua Simms; and 30–year old Candice Beard.
