Drive-thru COVID-19 testing events are being held around southern Illinois in the next several days.
The Illinois Department of Public Health will set up COVID-19 Mobile Testing Units at the Southern Seven Head Start in Cairo this Saturday, the Pope County State’s Attorney’s office in Golconda on Sunday and Veteran's Park in Mt. Vernon next Monday, September 28. All three sites will be open for free nasal swab testing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
No appointments are necessary, but face coverings are required.
