Daily COVID Update: (July 13)

Illinois health officials say another 883 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Monday. The report brings the state's overall total of positive test results to 154,799 since the pandemic began.

In addition, another 6 people died from the coronavirus. The death toll for Illinois is now 7,193.

The state has now crossed the two-million mark for the number of tests administered - and the positivity rate for the past week (July 6-12) is 3%.
LOCAL CASES (5:45pm Update)

Effingham County Health Department:

  • 2 new cases reported - a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s.
  • 36 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with 23 recoveries and one death.
  • 2,919 negative tests results.

Egyptian Health Department:

  • 9 new cases reported - a woman in her 80s from Gallatin County; a girl under 10, a teen girl, a man and a woman in their 20s, two women in their 40s, and a man and a woman in their 50s from White County.
  • 42 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with 16 recoveries.
  • 2,467 tests administered in the three-county service area.

Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department:

  • 3 new cases reported - a man in his 30s, a woman in her 50s, and a woman in her 60s from Williamson County.
  • Total COVID-19 positive cases now stands at 50 cases with 18 recoveries in Franklin County, and 166 cases with 131 recoveries and 4 deaths in Williamson County.

Jackson County Health Department:

  • 1 new case reported - a woman in her 20s.
  • Jackson County's total positive test count is 358, with 308 recoveries and 19 deaths.

Jefferson County Public Health Department:.

  • 2 new cases reported - a teen girl and a woman in her 50s.
  • Overall there have been 122 positive cases of COVID-19, with 97 recoveries and 14 deaths.
  • 3,461 negative test results.

Marion County Health Department:

  • 1 new case reported - a woman in her 30s.
  • Overall, there have been 80 positive cases of COVID-19, with 72 recoveries.
  • 2,995 negative test results.

Perry County Health Department:

  • Overall, 62 positive cases of COVID-19, with 55 recoveries and one death.
  • 2,104 negative test results.

Randolph County Health Department:

  • 27 new cases reported (11 Saturday, 5 Sunday, 8 Monday)
  • Overall, 327 positive cases of COVID-19, with 284 recoveries and seven deaths.
  • 3,932 negative test results.

Richland County Public Health Department:

  • 1 new case reported - a man in his 20s.
  • Overall, 10 positive cases of COVID-19, with 4 recoveries in Richland County.
  • 2,298 negative test results.

Southern Seven Health Department:

  • 22 new cases - two women in their 50s from Alexander County; a man in his 40s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 60s, and a man in his 70s from Johnson County; a woman in her 40s from Massac County; a man in his 20s, a woman in her 30s, and two women and one man in their 60s from Pulaski County; two girls and two boys under five, a boy under 10, a woman in her 20s, a man in his 30s, a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 60s, and a man in his 70s from Union County.
  • Overall, Southern Seven reports 365 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 243 recoveries and 17 deaths.
  • 6,134 negative test results in the seven county service area (as of July 10).
