A Carbondale man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to a charge of reckless homicide from an incident last summer.
The Jackson County State's Attorney says 57-year-old Gary Starks was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Starks was driving his vehicle at twice the 30 mile per hour speed limit on a road adjacent to Attucks Park in Carbondale last August when his vehicle hit a five-year-old child crossing the road.
