A Cairo man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The Union County State's Attorney says 38-year-old Ronald Andrew Hill was sentenced on two counts of Armed Violence and one count of Armed Habitual Criminal, all Class X Felonies.
Hill was convicted in March after a three-day jury trial.

Anna Police arrested him in August 2018 following a traffic stop in which he was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, cannabis and a controlled substance.
