The City of Marion has announced plans for the public to pay its respects to former Mayor Bob Butler.
Butler died Monday morning at the age of 92. He served as Marion's mayor from April 1963 until his retirement in January 2018.
Butler will lie in state Monday, April 29th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 30th from 9 a.m. to noon in the lobby of the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.
A formal memorial service in honor of Butler will follow on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30.
