An accused drug dealer from Mexico has been extradited to the U.S. to face federal drug trafficking charges in the Southern District of Illinois.
According to the Superseding Indictment, Armando Medina-Hernandez has been charged by a federal grand jury with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances in the St. Louis Metro area and southern Illinois.

The substances contained a detectable amount of methamphetamine and cocaine.

The Drug Enforcement Administration says it hopes this case will stop the supply of drugs from the Medina's organization.
