A Williamson County man has been sentenced to more than 19 years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine.
The U.S. attorney says 41-year-old Timmy Smith of Johnston City pleaded guilty to a one-count indictment earlier this year.
Evidence at the plea and sentencing hearings established Smith and several others distributed meth in Williamson and Franklin Counties from January to September 2018.
Because of his extensive criminal history, the court classified Smith as a career offender.
In a separate case, a Mt. Vernon man is headed to prison after admitting to distributing illegal drugs in Williamson, Franklin and Jefferson Counties.
The U.S. attorney says 51-year-old Lenny Falcone pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Falcone received an enhanced sentence because he possessed a dangerous weapon during the crimes, which occurred between September 2017 and May 2018.
