The Illinois Department of Public Health has launched the site, which allows people to look up their vaccine records and share them with individuals or businesses.
The system will pull vaccine information from I-CARE, so vaccines administered outside of Illinois or before 2007 may not be included on the vaccination record.
The Vax Verify system is voluntary, and users have the option to disable sharing with 3rd parties. IDPH is using credit score company Experian to verify IDs, and anyone with a freeze on their credit will need to disable the freeze to register.
