While COVID-19 has affected so many people, another disease, cancer, is still taking lives. Beth Harness, co-chair of the Relay for Life Festival says this Saturday's Luminaria will be done with a twist.
"It is a difficult time, cancer won't stop. So instead of the traditional face to face we're doing the Luminaria ceremony."
Harness says the event is meant to bring hope.
"We light the luminaria to remember those we've lost to cancer, we celebrate cancer survivors and show everyone that we are the light in the darkness."
Saturday's event at the Tower Square Plaza in Marion will start at 7:00 and social distancing is required. Harness says masks will also be available for those who don't have one.
