Jefferson County Sees Spike in COVID-19 Cases at Long-Term Care Facility

The Jefferson County Health Department reports 38 new cases of COVID-19 at a single long-term care facility.

Officials say four others tested positive bringing the total to 42 additional cases in the county within the last 24 hours.
There are now 76 lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County. Two of these have resulted in deaths. Six of the positive cases have now been released from isolation.
