Teachers from Southern Illinois University River Region Master Teaching Fellows Program will host the first annual Family Eco Festival at Alto Vineyards on September 24th from 11am-4pm. This is a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization, Innovations in STEM Education; money raised from the event will be distributed to southern Illinois teachers in need of science materials.

The event's theme is environmental sustainability. There will be a silent auction, live music, hands-on science activities, food, and soft drinks offered throughout the day. The sponsors for this event are Alto Vineyards, Southern Illinois Community Foundation, and the National Science Foundation. This is a family-friendly event with fun to be had for all ages!
