SIU-C Student Identified as a Nazi Sympathizer

A flyer is floating around social media outing a student at SIU-Carbondale as a Nazi sympathizer.

The flyer claims the student is attending school on a scholarship and that students should contact the Financial Aid Department to demand SIU-C revoke the scholarship immediately.
The university's Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Lori Stettler issued a statement saying scholarship and financial aid are awarded based on a student's academic achievements or financial need. As a public institution, the school cannot and does not ask about political or social views when admitting students.

The statement also says all students share the right of free speech, including speech that most would condemn.
