Over a dozen Republican lawmakers rallied at Veterans Airport in Marion on Monday,  in support of  Erika Harold - who is running for Attorney General against Democrat Kwame Raoul.

12Th District US Congressman Mike Bost told the crowd that when the Governor's mansion, the Illinois House and Senate were both held by Republicans, the state's budget was in the black.

The leader of the Illinois House Republicans, Jim Durkin, added that he wants to see more accountability in the House of Representatives.

When she took the podium, Candidate Harold stressed that she wants the office of Attorney General to be accountable to the people of Illinois, and not any one political party.

Other speakers at the rally, held at Marion's  Veteran's Airport included Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady, State Senator Dale Fowler and State Representitives Dave Severin and Terri Bryant.

Republican Erika Harold holds a Law Degree from Harvard Law School.  Democrat Kwame Raoul has served as State Senator in Illinois's 13th District since  2004.
