Southeast Missouri State University is canceling some classes today, after yesterday's flash flooding and storms knocked out power to portions of the campus.
According to SEMO's website, classes scheduled in Crisp Hall, the Art Building, and Carnahan Hall are all canceled Tuesday.
Faculty and staff in Crisp Hall, the Art Building, Brandt Hall of Music, Carnahan Hall and Parker Hall should not report to work today.
University officials say the heavy rain and thunderstorms knocked out power and air conditioning in those buildings, and they're working to get things back to normal as soon as possible.
