The National Weather Service office in Paducah is asking for your help.
Meteorologist Sean Polous says they're holding town hall meetings across the region so residents can provide their input on the office's strengths and weaknesses.
"It's just kind of like a Q & A session where the public can come out and discuss matters with us, ask questions. (We're) trying to get the feedback from people in order to improve our products and services."
He says this kind of interaction is important because forecasting the weather has changed in the era of social media.
"We're pretty big into sending out information about the forecast communicating over social media, both Facebook and Twitter now, and realize yeah that's becoming more of a means of how people actually get their forecast information."
Town hall meetings are scheduled for Thursday at the EMS Building in Princeton, Kentucky, Monday at the American Red Cross in Evansville, Indiana and next Tuesday at the Municipal West Building in Mt. Vernon. All three meetings start at 6 p.m. No registration is necessary.
