One person is in a St. Louis area hospital after a four-vehicle crash in Jackson County.
The sheriff's department says 26-year-old Jarrod Barton of West Frankfort is in the hospital after he turned into the path of another vehicle Tuesday morning around nine on Union School Road at Skidmore Road in Ava.
Deputies say Barton pulled into the path of 53-year-old Saqib Khan of Carbondale. Two other vehicles then collided with Barton's vehicle. They were driven by 66-year-old Rosemarie Painter of Springfield and 60-year-old John Houghland of Raymond.
Khan was treated and released at a local hospital. There were no other injuries.
