Math, Music & Me! Is This Saturday, March 28, 1-4pm

Free Family Event at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, Mt. Vernon, Ill. to Feature PBS KIDS Host Mr. Steve, PBS KIDS Costume Characters Peg + Cat & Curious George

Carbondale, Ill. -- Reporters, camera crews, and photographers are invited to cover Math, Music & Me!, a free family event featuring PBS KIDS host Mr. Steve and PBS KIDS costume characters Peg + Cat and Curious George. The event will take place this Saturday, March 28 from 1-4pmrain or shine – at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, 2600 Richview Road in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Sponsored by WSIU Public Broadcasting, the public media arm of Southern Illinois UniversityCedarhurst Center for the ArtsSIU Credit Union, and Modern Woodmen of America, the event will feature musical performances by PBS KIDS host Mr. Steve, appearances by PBS KIDS characters Peg + Cat and Curious George, art projects, including painting a large outdoor mural, math games, and activity stations for CitiBlocs, kite flying, sidewalk chalk, jump rope, hula hoop, and PBS KIDS videos and books.
