The new year is right around the corner, and with the fresh start Governor-elect J.B. Pritzker is reaching acrossed party lines to bring job growth throughout the state with his Job Creation and Economic Opportunity Committee.
State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) says he is extremely honored to be selected for the committee to represent southern Illinois and his constiuents' interests.
"I'm extremely excited that he is looking over party lines," Fowler says. "The election is over, and it's time to get to work."
Some of Fowler's first initiatives on the committee will be to bring jobs back to the southern part of the state and capitalize on southern Illinois' resources including the Cairo Terminal Project, the confluence of the Mississippi and the Ohio river, and reopening Rend Lake Resort.
