Former Saluki Basketball Player Arrested

Carbondale, IL – A former SIU Saluki basketball player is in trouble with the law.

Carbondale Police say they arrested Nick Evans early Saturday morning for criminal trespass to property and aggravated battery to a police officer. The officer was treated and released at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for injuries received during this incident.

Officers say the disturbance occurred in the 700 block of East Grand Avenue.

Evans was suspended for two games last season before leaving the Saluki basketball team in February.
