Door to Door Solicitation Coming to Carbondale

Representatives from U.S. Direct Marketing Corporation, on behalf of Liberty Power, will be soliciting door-to-door in Carbondale from now through April 30th.

Carbondale city officials say they are trying to enroll customers for Liberty Power. Carbondale residents and small businesses who are part of the City's aggregation program with Homefield Energy are urged to compare the electric rates being proposed by Liberty Power or any other supplier with the current rates being provided through the aggregation.

City officials say each solicitor is required to have a solicitor's permit issued by the City of Carbondale, which they are required to produce upon request. If you are concerned about the legitimacy of a particular solicitor, call the City Clerk's office during regular business hours or the non-emergency line at the police department during the hours when City Hall is closed.
