Chain Reaction Crash Shuts Down Part of I-64 Friday

badge

A crash involving three motorcycles shut down a portion of Interstate 64 in southern Illinois Friday for over four hours.
Illinois State Police say 33-year-old Brandon Harrison of Columbia, Missouri suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a regional hospital. 30-year-old Arron Chaney of Junction City, Kansas was taken to a local hospital and 24-year-old Mikhail Williams of Columbia, Missouri was not injured.

Troopers say a group of motorcyclists were traveling east on I-64 in Washington County Friday morning when the vehicle in front of them slowed down. The motorcyclists were unable to react in time, causing them to collide in a chain reaction.

Chaney was charged with Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash.
