Carbondale Shooting Victim Dies

Carbondale Police report the victim of a weekend shooting has died.

Police say 27-year old Broderick Miller of De Soto passed away Monday night.   He was shot Sunday evening during an altercation that took place inside a vehicle parked in the 2400 block of East Main Street. 

Monday evening police arrested 21-year old Quentin Bailey.   Bailey faces charges of aggravated battery and aggravated battery with a firearm. Bond was set at one million dollars. He was already wanted for violating his parole.

Police were called to Memorial Hospital Sunday night to a report of a gunshot victim.   An investigation continues.  Carbondale Police are working with the Jackson County States Attorney and the Jackson County Coroner.
