Carbondale Liquor Violations

The recent Polar Bear event in Carbondale resulted in under age liquor violations by local businesses.

The Illinois Liquor Control Commission says six businesses failed compliance checks conducted on January 27th  and 28th surrounding the Polar Bear event.  The businesses were cited for selling alcohol to minors. Carbondale police issued tickets to Pick’s Liquor and ABC Liquor Mart. Happy hour violations were also issued along with underage violations to Dimaggio’s Restaurant, Garfield’s Restaurant, The Cellar, and The Ice Box all located in Carbondale.

Polar Bear was an all-day outdoor drinking party held in Carbondale involving several local bars and businesses.
