Argument Leads to Shooting in Marion

Demetrius Crittendon of Marion

Marion Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to a St. Louis hospital early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to an apartment on South Bentley Street at about 12:30 Sunday morning, where they found the victim - 36-year old Ray Paul Jordan of Paducah, Kentucky.
Jordan was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center, and then airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital.
Investigators they've arrested 41-year old Demetrius Crittendon of Marion in connection with the shooting.

They say Jordan and Crittendon were involved in an argument just before Jordan was shot.

Formal charges are pending in Williamson County, and Crittendon is being held in the County Jail.
