Animals Seized in Williamson County

A Williamson County woman faces several charges after more than 60 live animals and several dead ones were found in her residence.
The Williamson County Sheriff's office says 51-year-old Elisa Kirkpatrick lives just off Route 166 north of Creal Springs.

Deputies were called to the residence on Friday because of the odor coming from it. Kirkpatrick told investigators that in 2014 she was a licensed Veterinarian but had lost her license due to complaints. But, she was still doing surgeries in her home.

Kirkpatrick told investigators she didn't tell any of her clients about her not being a licensed Veterinarian and she would pickup and drop off her clients animals. Kirkpatrick also told investigators she had recently performed surgeries on dogs and cats on her kitchen island.

Due to the biohazards that existed inside the residence, Williamson County firefighters entered the house wearing biohazard suits and full respirators. They found the entire house to be full of feces, and located several deep freezers full of dead animals, along with numerous bags containing dead animals.

Fifty-six of the 62 live animals removed from the residence were dogs and cats, but there were also two pigs, a rooster, a cockatoo, even a bobcat and an African Serval, or wild cat.

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick says one of the dogs Kirkpatrick operated on in her kitchen and rescued died over the weekend.

The animals have been placed with numerous shelters and rescue groups.
