Ameren Illinois is now reporting less than 4,000 customers without power in southern Illinois as crews continue to restore power.
Ameren spokesman Leigh Morris says about 1,300 remain without power in Saline County. About 500 are without power in Pulaski County and 600 in Gallatin County. Williamson County still has about 350 customers without power and all but about 40 customers in Jackson County. Union County still reports about 40 Ameren customer without power.
Ameren has about 300 workers on the scene restoring power.
