Despite unseasonably warm temperatures during much of the Du Quoin State Fair, officials say the 2013 event may set an attendance record.Fair manager John Rednour, Jr. says although the final figures are still being tallied, buy he says indications are strong. For example, the Continental Tire picnic saw 7,900 attendees and the labor picnic came in with 5,000 guests. It's already be reported that the Du Quoin State Fair had the largest opening day in its 91-year history on August 23rd when more than 50,000 people visited the fairgrounds. The fair ended on Labor Day.
