After months of renovations the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois is open in Marion.
Wednesday the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois open the doors to its first site in Williamson County on the west side of Marion.
Since April they’ve been renovating a church to transform it into their new location.
CEO Tina Carpenter says she’s excited to bring what the club has to offer in Marion.
“It was good the kids were having fun. It was definitely heartwarming to see kids in the building after all the work we put in to get it ready, so but yeah, so it's exciting and people are coming and enrolling kids every day.”
They anticipate having one hundred members by the end of December.
